About Fran: Portrait Photographer in Raleigh, NC

Hey, I'm Fran, a portrait photographer based in Raleigh, NC, specializing in headshots and school portraits. My love for photography started in a high school darkroom, watching a blank piece of paper slowly come to life under the developer. Something about that moment stuck with me, and I've been making portraits ever since.

I'm a Certified Professional Photographer with PPA and a Sandra Coan Certified Photographer, trained in the studio lighting approach Sandra is known for with children. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master of Fine Arts from UNC-Greensboro, and I've spent years putting that foundation to work in real sessions with real people.

After years of photographing high school and college seniors, I've shifted my focus to what I love most: modern headshots and personal branding for professionals, and school portrait photography for families across the Raleigh area. My school portrait business has grown quickly, and I've now photographed thousands of students in a style that feels fresh, natural, and nothing like the stiff portraits from your own school days.
